ITE Vertical Clariefier VC2500 for solid-liquid separation

The VC 2500 vertical clarifier serves as static thickener of pre-cleaned suspensions and accelerates the sedimentation of solids on account of its design.

Functioning

Due to the application of flocculant aids the fine particles of the supplied solid-liquid mixture coagulate and result in macroflakes which settle in the tapered section of the VC 2500. The liquid separated in the process moves upward into upper section of the tank from where it flows back into the slurry circuit of the processing after passing a rim. The concentrated sediment slurry is removed via an outlet on the underside of the VC 2500 and can then be fed into a centrifuge for dewatering via a pump.

In tandem with an ITE flocculation unit – AutoFlock 3000 or MiniFlock – and an ITE centrifuge – ZR15046 or ZR17254 – the VC 2500 represents an efficient and innovative stage for separating grain fractions < 45 microns.
